CERAMIC PARTS

Ceramics are products manufactured from essentially nonmetallic minerals by firing at high temperatures. The ceramic material is then machined into a specified part through grinding by a tubular shaped diamond wheel or ultrasonic drilling. Used for flexibility of design and manufacturing as well as precision unavailable through more traditional machining methods.

Ceramic components are used in a vast variety of products. The main reason for using oxide ceramics is one of the following: its high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and, in the case of alumina, its electrical insulation properties.
