These machines offer the utmost precision available in locating and generating accurate holes, contours and surfaces to very close tolerances of .0001", .0005", or even less. The jig grinder differs from the jig borer by using a high-speed spindle and a small grinding wheel instead of a boring tool. Newer machines of these types are usually CNC.
