Keystone Introduces High Current True Zero ohm SMT Jumper
Keystone Electronics has released a new series of “true” zero ohm, high-current SMT Jumpers that are well suited for high density, high-current PCB applications.

ASTORIA, N.Y.—A new series of “true” zero ohm, high-current SMT jumpers, designed to replace “zero” ohm resistors, are the latest connectivity devices available from Keystone Electronics Corp., an Astoria, N.Y.-based manufacturer of interconnect components and electronic hardware.
The new jumpers can be quickly and easily set up and are “uniquely suited as true zero ohm resistor replacements,” according to a press release from Keystone Electronics. Three resistor chip sizes are offered to simplify designs and footprint template compatibility: 0603 chip size, Cat. #5110; 0805 chip size, Cat. #5106; and 1206 chip size, Cat. #5108.
Manufactured from copper with silver plating, the jumpers provide low impedance and circuit linkage with a footprint identical to that of a zero ohm resistor, the company says. The jumpers are well suited for high-density, high-current PCB applications, and are supplied on tape and reel per the ANSI/EIA-481 standard for compatibility with most vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place systems. Delivery is from stock via the company’s global distribution network.
