The high reactivity of titanium, presents a special challenge to the foundry. Casting, relatively expensive, is a special method of melting and pouring in the vacuum process. The melting and pouring practice is the VIM and VAR in a water-cooled copper crucible. The principal molding technology is the lost wax investment casting method.
