Steel Rule Dies

Die Cutting is the process by which material is cut to a specific design/shape through the use of a die. Of the various die cutting methods available, the most common one is Steel Rule Die Cutting - in which the steel rule die (SRD) functions very much like a cookie cutter.

Steel Rule dies are made by inserting steel cutting rule into jigged or laser burnt die board. These dies can be manufactured with varying blade heights, bevels, and thicknesses. They are flexible, in that they can be produced in many different configurations. You can cut a wider range of products, and the part size can be controlled closer than with a conventional clicker die.
