CyberOptics Wins Global Technology Award for Inspection and Metrology System

MINNEAPOLIS – CyberOptics® Corporation recently won a 2019 Global Technology Award for a multi-functional inspection and metrology system that performs automated optical inspection (AOI), solder paste inspection (SPI), and fast, accurate coordinate measurements. Awarded in the category of Inspection – AOI, the CyberOptics SQ3000TM Inspection and Metrology System is described by the manufacturer as “an all-in-one system that can identify critical defects and measure critical parameters”. These capabilities enable it to provide superior process control for effective yield management, CyberOptics said in a press release.

The SQ3000 is reported to deliver highly accurate coordinate measurements faster than a traditional coordinate measurement machine (CMM)–in seconds, rather than hours. The in-line CMM includes an extensive software suite for metrology-grade measurement on all critical points, the company said.

“We are thrilled to receive our 16th award for Multi-Reflection Suppression (MRS)-enabled systems,” said Subodh Kulkarni, Ph.D., president and CEO, CyberOptics Corporation, in the release. “In addition to providing superior inspection and metrology performance, we are providing our customers the flexibility to use the SQ3000 platform for various applications for advanced process control and effective yield management.”
