New Metal Stamping Company Opens in Romeoville, Illinois
ROMEOVILLE, Ill.—A new metal stamping job shop, Integrity Manufacturing, Inc., has begun operating in Romeoville, Illinois, after three former employees of Lindy Manufacturing completed a limited asset purchase of the company to start a new organization. Integrity Manufacturing opened its doors in September with an established customer base and expanded services that include research and development, project management, and manufacturing services ranging from metal stamping prototyping to heat treating.
The new women-owned company has three new locations—two plants in the Chicago area and one in Los Angeles&mdashand differentiates itself from competitors with its project management services for clients, the company said in a press release.
"The trend of women in manufacturing is growing, and it reflects on the fact that women are at the forefront of how the market is changing," said Cheryl Wellman, owner and president of Integrity Manufacturing, in a statement. "Manufacturers are more than providers of goods: We also advise and support our customers, and that allows for long-term relationships and the development of customized solutions."
Both Wellman and Integrity Vice President Holly Barajas held multiple positions within Lindy Manufacturing and worked closely on projects from beginning to end, overseeing all aspects of production, shipping, and customer service, as well as marketing and plant management, the company said on its website. Both partners see their broad experience as invaluable to providing the metal stamping business with its consulting angle.
"For projects that involve coordinating multiple steps and outsourcing additional components, it makes sense for both us and the client," said Wellman. "We want the best materials to ensure that a project achieves optimal results. For our client, the logistics of coordinating everything can be labor-intensive, and we can help streamline that process and reduce overall costs."
The decision to create the new company included joining forces with another Lindy Manufacturing employee, Sean Stack, who currently serves as Integrity's general manager.
"Our goal for Integrity is to take American manufacturing to a new level," said Wellman. "That means putting a priority on quality and innovation, giving our employees the training and support they need, and working collaboratively with both them and our clients."
Integrity Manufacturing (www.integritymfginc.com) provides metal stamping, finishing, and assembly work for multiple industries. The company's customized services include metal stamping prototyping, tool build and repair, tumbling, plating, painting, welding, fabricating, and heat treating.
