Kubotek USA Signs FEA Software Distribution Agreement with NEi Software

Finite Element Analysis Software

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--Kubotek USA recently announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with NEi Software, makers of NEi Nastran Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, to market and sell NEi Nastran FEA software throughout North and South America. Finite element analysis software allows engineers to analyze the effect of various stresses on their mechanical CAD designs.

"NEi Software contacted us because of our 3D Direct Modeler, KeyCreator," said Scott Sweeney, vice president of marketing for Kubotek USA. "With KeyCreator's flexibility and precision, customers using NEi Nastran FEA can easily simplify and de-feature models from any CAD system for analysis and simulation. You don't have to be a CAD jock or a Physics PhD to use the combination of KeyCreator and NEi Nastran."

Phil Potasiak, president of NEi Software, said that NEi is excited about its new relationship with Kubotek in the Americas and plans to expand it globally. "We believe that there is great synergy in our products," said Potasiak. "The fully integrated solution, scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2010, will offer unparalleled ease of use and price performance in the market."

Kubotek USA (www.kubotekusa.com) sells a CAD/FEA package that includes its 3D direct modeler, KeyCreator Version 9, plus NEi Nastran V 9.2. Existing Kubotek customers and customers currently using KeyCreator with a competing FEA solution will be offered competitive upgrades.

NEi Software (www.NEiSoftware.com) is a global provider of Nastran Finite Element Analysis (FEA), engineering simulation, and virtual test software. Engineers use the company's software to gain insight with digital prototypes, images, contour plots, and graphs. The software also provides animations of linear and nonlinear structural stress, deformation, dynamics, vibration, kinematics, impact, heat transfer, and fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations.
