Master Tool & Die Expands Kingsport, Tenn., Manufacturing Center
Area Development News Desk–Master Tool & Die, Inc. will expand in Kingsport, Tennessee. The company plans to invest $557,500 for facility upgrades and create 25 jobs at its operation in Sullivan County.
Founded in Kingsport in 1988, Master Tool & Die (www.mtd4949.com) provides custom CNC machining, welding, fabrication, and other services for businesses throughout the Southeast United States. According to state officials, Master Tool & Die will add new equipment and upgrade its existing facility in Kingsport to meet growing demand. Master Tool & Die plans to fully staff its first shift within the next year, positioning the company to support a full second shift in the future.
"Our goal at Master Tool & Die is to become the highest quality precision machine and fabrication shop in this region," said Adam Newsome, managing director of Master Tool & Die. "Our highly skilled existing employees and these machine and facility upgrades will make this goal possible. Additional investments and further utilizing East Tennessee's talented labor pool will allow us to better serve our customers, our employees and our community.
