Mech-Tronics Celebrates 60th Year in Business
MELROSE PARK, Ill.--Mech-Tronics, a producer of parts for the avionics, aerospace, and defense industries, is celebrating its 60th year in business, the company recently announced. The privately held corporation, founded in 1948 by Sam and Eugene DeMuro, was recently awarded Supplier of the Year recognition by Rockwell Collins. Mech-Tronics has also been named preferred supplier by numerous aerospace companies, including Hamilton-Sundstrand, Honeywell, and Raytheon.
The company's steady growth since its founding has led to the establishment of plants in Arizona and Mexico, as well as Illinois. Mech-Tronics, certified to AS9100B:2004 and ISO 9001:2000 without design, specializes in precision fabrication and build-to-print aluminum chassis and enclosures. Its turnkey facilities offer services that include aluminum dip brazing, photo etching, welding, painting, silk screening, chemical conversion, and hardware installation.
