RIO RANCHO, N.M.–Alta Data Technologies (www.altadt.com) has released a full size F2 mini PCI Express Interface Card, the MPCIE2-1553, for MIL-STD-1553 Networks, the company announced recently.

The MPCIE2-1553 provides 1-2 dual redundant 1553B channels and is available in Dual (BM/BM or mRT/BM) or Full Function (BC/mRT/BM) models. The product is designed around Alta's advanced protocol engine (PE), AltaCoreTM, and includes Alta's modular software development kit, AltaAPITM.

The MPCIE2-1553 card is based on AltaCore-1553 PE and provides advanced MIL-STD-1553 capabilities for embedded, COM Express, and notebook/portable systems, according to Jake Haddock, CTO of Alta. "Alta implemented a native PCI Express design for increased performance and MSI interrupt support, and took the extra design effort to implement signal capture (o-scope on the first channel)," said Haddock in a company release.

"The new MPCIE2-1553 mini PCI Express card provides interface and test capabilities second to none, and our AltaAPI, AltaView-1553TM analyzer and AltaRTValTM RT Validation software tools are the latest in modular, portable technologies, added Henry Wild, vice president of sales for Alta. "Customers will achieve significant savings in integration and test time with these new products. The A/D signal capture, signal generators, advanced BIT, and dual temperature sensors are industry-leading features not found on competitors' products."
