Click here to find suppliersNanoMech's GuardXTM Chosen as Finalist for 2015 R&D 100 Award SPRINGDALE, Ark. — NanoMech, Inc. was recently named a finalist for the R&D 100 Award for its technology, GuardX™, which was selected by an independent judging panel out of thousands of entries in the Mechanical Devices/Materials category.
GuardX is described by NanoMech as a breakthrough nano-engineered multi-layer overlay encapsulation that tremendously enhances the functional life of a vast array of industrial components, operating in harsh conditions. These multifunctional coatings can provide many benefits, the company says, including the excellent wear, corrosion resistance, and operating temperature ranges, along with easy and economical application.
“Our GuardX™ technology will further revolutionize the automotive, trucking, aerospace, marine, construction, oil & gas, agricultural, and military industries,” said Jim Philips, chairman and CEO of NanoMech, in a press release. “GuardX™ will save organizations millions of dollars by reducing and/or eliminating wear, abrasion, corrosion, moisture resistance, thermal management and fireproofing. This recognition is a wonderful tribute to our scientists at NanoMech.”
The winners of the 2015 R&D 100 Awards will be announced at the annual gala to be held on Friday, November 13.
