X-Cell Tool & Mold Increases Turning and Milling Capacity with New Lathe
ERIE, Pa.—X-Cell Tool & Mold, Inc., a manufacturer of close tolerance, multi-cavity injection molds for the medical, consumer goods, and electronics industries, recently announced the addition of a Mori-Seiki NLX2500-SY Lathe to its facility in Erie, Pennsylvania. The twin-spindle lathe offers Y-Axis machining, a 12 position double-sided turret, and live tooling of 7.5HP. It features a 30HP main spindle and 20 HP sub-spindle capable of moving 2 1/4 inches off center. According to X-Cell Tool & Mold, the new machine has significantly increased its turning and milling capacity and enabled the company to decrease delivery time on round work.
