ASTORIA, N.Y--A new selection of rugged, 1/3N lithium battery holders, recently introduced by Keystone Electronics for surface or through-hole mounting, is supplied with durable and heat-resistant, UL 94V-0 rated Nylon housings that are suitable for soldering and reflow operations. The SMT (surface mount technology) version includes gold-plated, phosphor bronze contacts, and the THM (through-hole mount) version incorporates tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts and the heat-resistant Nylon housings.
According to Keystone (www.keyelco.com), the THM types mount directly on PCBs, securely positioned during wave soldering and placement. Both holders accept 1/3N 3-volt cell lithium batteries from major manufacturers, and are part of the company's growing selection of battery hardware specialties. These specialties also include contacts, holders, retainers, and straps in various materials for coin cell, button cell, and cylindrical batteries.
In addition to producing electronic hardware, interconnects, and components, Keystone Electronics maintains an application engineering group that is supported by close-tolerance stamping, machining, and assembly operations. The company is ISO 9001:2000 certified and RoHS compliant.
