Custom Washers and Metal Stampings
The production of precision stampings, washers and shims made to exact customer requirements demands a high level of performance. Tooling with limited costs and precise machining of stamped components are critical elements of the process to generate products with high added value.
The manufacture of these products requires a complete facility that includes a toolroom with full CAD/CAM-DNC equipment that features CNC lathes, mills, wire EDM and Coordinate Measuring Machines. Slitting, shearing, rolling and punching machines must also be included. Punching presses should be rated from 15 to 110 tons.
In terms of size, the parts (thin shims, flat and shallow-formed parts) fit within a 4" square made from materials that are from 0.0005" to 0.265". Steels including high carbons, Series 300 and 400 stainless steel, copper and copper alloys, aluminum, nickel, high temperature alloys and plastics are used to manufacture these pieces.
Vital to successful operations in precision stamping are capabilities to offer a wide range of product sizes, a large variety of parts, substantial raw material inventory, stock sampling program and efficient delivery performance.
