High-voltage Transformers Suited for High-reliability Line and Medical Applications
ROMOLAND, Calif.--Datatronics Romoland, Inc., recently released two new series of high-voltage transformers that are reported to be well-suited for high-reliability line and portable medical applications, including defibrillators. The Model 4283-1250 Series Hi-Voltage Transformers and the Model 4283-1200 Series Hi-Voltage Flyback Transformers are both application-specific devices that can be custom-configured to meet a wide variety of medical, military, or commercial applications. Typical applications are said to include line and portable medical devices, such as defibrillators, as well as industrial lasers, ion generators for powder coating and painting equipment, cathode ray tube transformers, and traveling-wave tube transformers, among others.
The Model 4283-1250 Series Hi-Voltage Transformers are reported to provide a cost-effective means of driving high-impedance loads requiring up to 2,500 Vdc. A center-tapped secondary for the 4283-1250 Series is used for creating both positive and negative outputs. This would drive a full-wave bridge rectifier (ground in the center, positive on one side, negative on the other), or could be used as a half-wave output providing either a positive or negative voltage. The 4283-1250 Series Transformers offer primary-to-secondary isolation of up to 7.5 KVdc and are said to be suitable for applications requiring a high-voltage, low-power signal. They are reported to be particularly reliable in unstable or harsh environments and to meet or exceed the performance, safety, and quality standards of a variety of U.S., European and Asian specifications.
The Model 4283-1200 Series Hi-Voltage Flyback Transformers, reported to provide a cost-effective means of driving high-impedance loads requiring up to 2,000 Vdc, offer primary-to-secondary isolation of up to 7 KVdc. Like the Model 4283-1250 Series, they are well-suited for applications requiring a high-voltage, low-power signal and are reported to be particularly reliable in unstable or harsh environments. Also like the Model 4283-1250 Series, they are said to meet or exceed the performance, safety, and quality standards of a variety of U.S., European, and Asian specifications.
Datatronics Romoland, Inc.
