Machining - CNC

Parts produced by CNC machining must meet customers' stringent requirements and be interchangeable in the field. Processed through exacting quality assurance programs, including ISO 9002 and Six Sigma Methodology, the parts are made by a wide variety of high tech equipment.

CNC milling centers, horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers (featuring multi-part fixturing, pallet shuttle loading, synchronous tapping and helical interpolation) and four-axis CNC turning centers are employed to process aluminum castings, ferrous metals and some plastics.

Turning equipment can accommodate lengths to 43" and is compatible with feeders and catchers with capacity to 2-1/8" diameters and swing to 27". Machining center axis travels are X=99", Y=50" and Z=40" and will swing 94". Parts manufactured by these methods are supplied to the power transmission, hydraulic, pump, specialty steel and mining industries.

The instruments used in quality control operations include coordinate measuring systems, optical comparators, surface roughness instruments, hardness testers and a number of other instruments calibrated to NIST and ISO 9002 standards.

Secondary operations offered are grinding, welding and plating. The versatile shop will also have blasting and metal disintegrating equipment. All of these operations support the additional functions of fabrication and assembly.
