Rubber Transfer Molding

Transfer molding is a method of molding specific parts when it is desirable that the two halves of the mold, containing the shape of the part, are closed before any material is introduced. The material is loaded into a pot or transfer sleeve, and transfer pressure is applied to cause material to flow into the closed section of the mold. The advantage is that material can be introduced into the cavity at a number of locations simultaneously, aiding in filling the part. The mold is kept hot, causing a chemical reaction that cures the part. KEYWORDS for this process: moulds, moulding, moulders, molds, molders, molding
