Escomatics Screw Machining

An automatic lathe that manufactures screws in one operation, used for rapid and accurate production of countless varieties of duplicate parts from almost any material. Runs of 1000 pieces or more make automatic screw machining an attractive alternative. The range of materials usable on automatic screw machines is broad. All grades of steel, copper alloys, brass, aluminum, precious metals, hard rubber, machinable plastics, phenolics and wood can be processed.

Swiss-type automatic screw machines can provide a high quality of finish comparable to a ground finish, and are invaluable when high-finish close tolerance bearing surfaces are required on small shafts. Applications include electric meters, watches, clocks, and other parts necessary for the instrument trade.

Escomatics wire feed machining systems can produce small and miniature parts to 1/4" diameter with burr-free finishes. Part diameters range from .010" up to 1/4" with lengths up to 3-1/2". Parts are burr-free and to very precise tolerances. Complex machining operations include broaching, crimping, cross-drilling and back/front milling. Escomatics offer a strong cost advantage over other methods since automatic coil feeding eliminates bar loading time and produces burr-free cutoffs.
